The context — why temple-to-refinery moves are not routine
200 kg of gold is not a parcel.It's a chain that has to stay sealed for hundreds of kilometres.
Before the story, here's the simple version. Indian temples regularly send their accumulated old gold for purity checking and refining. It's a sensitive movement — religiously, financially, and security-wise. The refinery has to receive it intact, the temple has to know exactly where it is, and nothing about the chain can be informal.
Think Of It Like This
Imagine your school sending the entire term's exam papers to the head office in another city. You don't drop them in a normal courier bag. You seal the bundle, put a unique ID on it, log it in a register, and only hand it over to a person who has been pre-named to receive it. At the other end, that person checks the ID, opens the seal in front of witnesses, and signs the register. That's a sealed chain of custody.
Now do that with 200 kg of old temple gold. Two stages — first the refinery's Ahmedabad store for purity checking, then the main Haryana refinery for melting and refining. And do it so that the temple, the refinery, and authorised stakeholders can all see exactly where the consignment is at any moment.

A known Indian refinery had been handed a serious assignment by a temple in Ahmedabad — purity check, melting and refining of 200 kg of old gold accumulated over years of donations. The refining was their job. Moving the gold safely from the temple to their store and then to their Haryana refinery — that they handed to BVC.

The numbers alone tell you why this is not a normal job. 200 kg of old temple gold is hundreds of crores worth of value moving in one window. Add the sentiment of a temple, the audit needs of a refinery, and the simple fact that this gold has to cross state borders from Gujarat to Haryana — and you understand why every step has to be planned, sealed and provable.
The refinery couldn't do this with internal staff. They needed a partner who could plan a pre-dawn window with temple authorities, verify the consignment piece-by-piece against documentation, seal every bag with a unique ID, hand over only to named authorised personnel at the Ahmedabad store, and then repeat the same playbook on the second leg to the Haryana refinery — all while keeping a live system trail the customer could see.
Why pre-dawn, why two stages, why sealed
Pre-dawn (3–4 am) means empty roads and minimal exposure. Two stages — temple to local store, then store to main refinery — means the purity check happens close to the temple before the long inter-state move, which is industry best practice. Sealed unique-ID consignments mean nobody can quietly add, remove or swap anything between pickup and final delivery. Together, these three choices turn a high-risk move into a controlled one.
The brief from the refinery was straightforward. Make it boring. Make it traceable. Make it provable at every handover. That's the job BVC was built for.

Planned the pre-dawn window with the temple and refinery
Before any vehicle moved, we agreed a 3–4 am pickup window with temple authorities and the refinery's authorised receivers at both the Ahmedabad store and the Haryana refinery. Routes, vehicles, escorts and contact points were locked in advance.

Our team reached the temple in the pre-dawn window. The empty roads and minimal public footfall meant the consignment could be loaded out without exposure or attention — exactly the conditions you want for a movement of this size.
Verified documents and consignment piece-by-piece at the temple
Every item was checked against the temple's own documentation before it left their premises. Nothing was loaded that wasn't on the list, and nothing on the list was left behind. The verification was witnessed and signed off by both sides.
Applied unique seal IDs and updated everything on the BVC system
Each verified consignment was sealed with a unique BVC seal ID. The seal IDs, item counts and pickup timestamp were updated on our tracking system — so the moment the vehicle left the temple, both the temple and the refinery could see the consignment was now in BVC's chain of custody.
Securely moved the gold to the refinery's Ahmedabad store for purity check
The sealed consignment was transported on a planned secure route directly to the refinery's local store in Ahmedabad, where the purity check was scheduled. No detours, no overnight halts — straight from temple to store.
Handover only to authorised personnel — ID check, signed docket, system update
At the Ahmedabad store, the consignment was handed over only to the pre-named authorised personnel of the refinery. Each handover went through an ID check, a signed proof-of-receipt docket, and a live system update — so the temple and refinery could both see the consignment had been received cleanly.
Re-picked the consignment from the Ahmedabad store after purity check
Once the refinery's Ahmedabad team completed the purity check, BVC repeated the same sealed-pickup playbook from the store. Fresh seal IDs, fresh document verification, fresh system update — and the consignment entered Stage 2 of the move.
Transported the gold inter-state to the Haryana refinery for melting & refining
Last was the inter-state leg from Gujarat to Haryana, on a planned secure route. At the Haryana refinery, the same handover protocol was repeated — authorised personnel only, ID check, signed docket, system update — and the consignment was officially received by the refinery for melting and refining.
