Rerouting stock across cities sounds simple on paper. In practice it isn't. It is high-value jewellery that needs secure transport, GST and e-way bill paperwork between states, accurate piece-level documentation, and full visibility — across multiple branches, all at once. The retailer's head office shared the SKU list, the source branches (Bengaluru and Chennai), the destination branch (Hyderabad), and the priority — get it on the Hyderabad shelves before the weekend rush. From that single brief, BVC built a full intercity replenishment plan: pickups, flights, ground legs, paperwork and authorised handovers — all as one job, not three separate ones.
The retailer's head office booked the intercity replenishment with BVC, sharing source branches (Bengaluru and Chennai), the destination branch (Hyderabad), the SKU list with declared values, the deadline (before the weekend), and the list of authorised personnel at each branch.
Our operations team mapped a single replenishment loop covering two pickups and one delivery. Routes, modes (air + armoured road), flight options, and pickup/delivery slots were sequenced so both source branches could be cleared in the same window and all stock could land at Hyderabad before the weekend.
Our Bengaluru team arrived at the source branch at the agreed slot. Shipment count, weight and documents (GST invoice, delivery note, e-way bill) were verified. The consignment was placed in tamper-evident BVC packaging with numbered seals and loaded into an armoured vehicle.
In parallel, our Chennai team executed the same pickup process at the second source branch — count, weight, document verification, tamper-evident sealing, armoured vehicle loading. Both pickups were logged on the same booking, so the retailer's HO could see the loop progress in one place.
From Bengaluru and Chennai, the two consignments were flown to Hyderabad on scheduled commercial flights — armed BVC ground transport from each source branch to the airport, BVC airport-side handling at each end, and our Hyderabad team standing by to receive both arrivals.
Across every ground leg — origin branch to airport, airport to destination branch — the consignments moved in armoured vehicles with GPS geo-fencing, live CCTV monitoring from BVC's control room, and trained armed specialists on board. No part of the loop was unmonitored.
At every milestone — pickup at Bengaluru, pickup at Chennai, departure, arrival in Hyderabad, last-mile dispatch, delivery complete — instant updates were pushed to all three branches and the retailer's head office.
Each leg moved between different states with its own GST and e-way bill requirements. BVC coordinated paperwork upfront so no consignment was held at airport cargo or interstate checkposts. Documentation flowed alongside the physical movement, branch-to-branch.
At the destination branch, identity of the receiving personnel was verified against the retailer's authorised list. Only then were the seals broken. Count, weight and documents were re-verified.
Signed proof of delivery from Hyderabad was filed with the retailer's head office, alongside the pickup receipts from Bengaluru and Chennai. The full loop was closed with a single, traceable record — one booking, two pickups, one delivery, three branches in sync.
