The Allocation Ran Late. The Stores Still Got Stocked On Time.

Multi-store jewellery allocations don't always finish on schedule. Picking, tagging, invoicing and packing pieces for multiple stores often needs a few more hours — BVC manages delays and still delivers on time.

The Problem

Allocation Planning Is Hard. Missing The Pickup Window Shouldn't Be The Cost.

When a jewellery brand plans a big replenishment — new collection launch, festive stocking, seasonal allocation — the warehouse has to pick, tag, invoice and pack thousands of pieces, store by store. It is careful, detailed work. And sometimes, through no one's fault, it runs over the standard cut-off for the day's pickup.

Imagine This

A jewellery brand had a big allocation plan. Dozens of stores across India were waiting for their replenishment — flagship showrooms in metros, smaller stores in tier-2 cities, a few priority stores that needed fresh stock before the weekend rush.

But preparation at the central warehouse got delayed. More pieces to pack than planned. More quality checks. More re-tagging. By the time the consignments were actually ready to move, the normal pickup window had already closed.

With a regular courier or logistics provider, that would have meant: "Sorry, we'll come tomorrow" — which means every store's replenishment slides by a day, every weekend customer walks into a store without the promised collection, and every day of lost sales adds up.

The brand didn't want any of that. So they called BVC Logistics, who they had already booked for the replenishment run, and asked the obvious question: "Can you still make this work?"

The answer was yes — because at BVC, flexible pickup windows and same-day / next-day flight connections aren't exceptions. They're how we're built.

How BVC Helped

Late Pickup. Right-On-Time Store Deliveries.

The customer had booked BVC for the replenishment run. The moment the warehouse team said "we'll be ready later than planned," we didn't cancel or push to the next day. We rebuilt the plan around the new pickup time and locked the consignments into the very next available flights — so stores still received their stock either the same day or by the next morning.

Flexibility Isn't An Add-On. It's How We Plan Every Single Replenishment.

Every BVC retail customer has a slightly different rhythm. Some want daily replenishment. Some want weekly. Some have priority stores that need stock urgently, and non-priority stores that can wait a day. Our job isn't to force the customer into one fixed schedule — it is to plan routes, modes, vehicles and timings around each customer's actual requirement.

So when this customer's warehouse was running late on a big allocation, we simply shifted into the mode we handle every day: late pickup, same-day or next-day flight connection, priority delivery to the stores that needed it first.

The Step-By-Step JourneySCENE 02

How We Moved A Delayed Warehouse Allocation Into Every Store On Time.

1

Booking already in place — requirements already understood

The customer had booked the replenishment run with BVC in advance, sharing the store list, the volumes, and the priority flags. This meant our team already knew which store needed stock urgently, which store was on a standard slot, and where to route each consignment.

2

Warehouse flagged the delay — BVC reshuffled the plan

When the customer's warehouse said preparation was running late, we didn't treat it as a problem. We treated it as the new input. Our team reshuffled the pickup slot, re-mapped the flight connections, and protected the priority stores' delivery windows first.

3

Late pickup from the warehouse — on the new, agreed slot

Our armed vehicle arrived at the warehouse at the updated, later pickup slot. Every consignment was checked against the packing list, sealed in tamper-evident BVC packaging, and loaded under full specie insurance. No shortcut, no rush — just a later start.

4

Locked same-day or next-day flight connections

Because of BVC's cargo relationships with every major Indian airline, we were able to connect the consignments to the very next available flights to each destination city. Metros got same-day evening flights. Other cities got next-morning priority flights. No store was pushed a full day.

5

Priority stores delivered first

The customer's priority flag drove our sequence on the ground. Stores that needed replenishment before the weekend rush were dispatched first at destination — armed vehicle straight from the airport to the store, no waiting for the rest of the consolidation to finish.

6

GST, e-way bill and documentation handled per store

Each store is in a different city, often in a different state. We helped prepare the right GST invoice references and e-way bills per consignment, so no shipment got stuck at an airport cargo desk or an interstate check-post because of a paperwork gap.

7

Supervised piece-by-piece handover at every store

At every store, our local BVC team matched each shipment against the warehouse packing list. Signed proof-of-delivery was collected at each store and filed, closing the loop on every single consignment from that allocation run.

8

Customer dashboard updated with status across all stores

Through the run, the customer's team knew where each consignment was, which stores had received stock, and which were still in transit — store by store. The big allocation ran late at the warehouse, but its status visibility never did.

OutcomeSCENE 03

Late At The Warehouse. On Time At The Stores. Zero Days Lost.

Large jewellery replenishment runs rarely move exactly on schedule. Picking, tagging, invoicing, quality checks, and packing across multiple stores often push dispatch readiness beyond the original pickup window. Instead of forcing the customer into a missed-day delay, BVC shifted the movement plan in real time — activating late pickup handling and securing same-day or next-flight connections to keep the replenishment moving.

The result was zero lost selling days across the retail network. Every showroom received its planned stock either the same evening or by the next morning, with priority stores served first based on urgency and sales requirements. The launch calendar stayed intact, festive sales plans continued as scheduled, and the warehouse team knew they had a logistics partner that could absorb operational delays without affecting the stores.

The store was opening in hours. The jewellery wasn't ready.

Opening a new jewellery showroom takes months of planning — land, interiors, staff, marketing, muhurat date. But sometimes, the one thing that isn't ready on opening day is the stock itself. Here is how BVC Logistics got a retailer's new Jaipur store open on time — with jewellery that landed the same evening.
