Dore is a semi-pure alloy of gold and silver, typically imported from global mining companies for refining and production in India. BVC handles the secure import, customs clearance, and movement of Dore bars from port of entry to refinery — with full documentation, insurance, and armed security.

BVC operates at all major Indian international airport cargo terminals that handle precious metal imports — including Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Ahmedabad. We coordinate directly with airline cargo terminals, customs warehouses and bonded facilities, and pick the dore bars up immediately after clearance to minimise time in open custody.

Yes. Every dore bar shipment moved by BVC is fully insured for its declared value through transit, customs handling and final delivery to the refinery. Insurance certificates are issued for each consignment, with coverage built into the service so importers and refineries do not have to arrange separate cover.

Dore bars can be imported into India only by entities authorised by the regulator — typically refineries holding the relevant BIS-recognised refining licence, nominated banks and authorised trading houses. BVC works with all such eligible importers — refineries, banks and trading companies — and provides the secure logistics, customs coordination and chain-of-custody required for compliant dore imports.

Once the refinery produces refined gold or silver bullion from the dore, BVC continues the chain with our Refinery To Manufacturer Logistics service — moving refined bullion to jewellery manufacturers, wholesalers, bullion dealers, or into BVC vault storage.
