The Problem
A jewellery manufacturer in Mumbai doesn't sell to just one wholesaler. They receive orders from wholesalers and distributors across India — and each one wants their goods at a different time, in a different city, under different conditions. One manufacturer order can become ten different logistics problems if you don't plan properly.
Imagine This
Mumbai is home to some of India's biggest jewellery manufacturing clusters — Zaveri Bazaar, BKC, Andheri, Navi Mumbai. Every single day, manufacturers here are finishing B2B orders for wholesalers and distributors across the country.
The challenge is that every wholesaler has a different requirement. One customer in Delhi wants goods by 12 pm. Another customer in Dehradun might be fine with a three-day turnaround. A third wholesaler, however, wants to sell ahead and needs their order on priority — ahead of the others.
The manufacturer can't sit and figure out airline cargo schedules, check-post timings, state-wise e-way bill rules and armed road availability for each shipment. They have a business to run. They just want one partner who can book the shipment, plan the route, and deliver on time — for every wholesaler, every city, every kind of urgency.
That's where BVC Logistics comes in.
How BVC Helped
The manufacturer just has to share the order details with us — destination cities, volumes, pickup day, delivery day, any priority flags. From that moment, BVC takes over the planning. Route, mode, vehicle, flight, paperwork, handover — all decided by us, based on what each individual shipment actually needs.
One order with 10 destinations. One partner to plan it.
A Mumbai-based jewellery manufacturer received an order that contained 10 separate B2B deliveries to various wholesalers and distributors across India. The manufacturer booked the full shipment with BVC and shared the requirement for each consignment.
Nine of the ten deliveries were on standard timelines. But one wholesaler in Dehradun was different — they needed the goods on priority because they wanted to sell ahead. That one flag changed how that specific leg had to be planned.
At BVC we treat every order like this as a small project. We look at the destination, the volume, the pickup day, the delivery day and the priority — and we plan the route, the mode and the vehicle accordingly. For the priority Dehradun shipment, the answer was clear: next available flight to Delhi, then armed road transport onward to Dehradun.
How we moved 10 B2B shipments out of Mumbai — and got the priority Dehradun delivery in on time.
The manufacturer shared the full order — 10 deliveries, destination cities across India, volumes for each, pickup slot, expected delivery window, and the priority flag for the Dehradun wholesaler who wanted to sell ahead.
We looked at each consignment on its own — where it's going, how much it is, and by when it has to be there. Some cities have daily flight options; some have fixed TAT cycles only on certain days of the week. So we planned each delivery as its own mini-route, not as one generic batch.
Each delivery got a mode decision — air for the faster ones and longer distances, road for closer destinations and last-mile legs. Vehicles were assigned, flights were identified, and pickup slots from the Mumbai manufacturing location were locked in.
Because the Dehradun wholesaler wanted to sell ahead, this shipment couldn't sit in a normal cycle. We planned it as a priority move: Mumbai pickup → the next planned flight to Delhi → armed road transport from Delhi to Dehradun. Clean, fast, fully insured.
Our Mumbai team picked up the full order from the manufacturer's unit — whether in Zaveri Bazaar, BKC, Andheri or Navi Mumbai — on the agreed pickup slot. Every consignment was listed and sealed in tamper-evident packaging, then loaded into armed secure vehicles.
For each of the 10 wholesaler deliveries going into different Indian states, we coordinated with the manufacturer's team on the GST invoice and a valid e-way bill for that specific movement. Without this, interstate jewellery consignments can be held up at cargo terminals or check-posts — so we don't skip a step.
The priority Dehradun shipment was moved from the Mumbai pickup straight to the airport and connected to the next planned flight to Delhi. Our cargo relationships let us book and load jewellery as a protected category — not as generic cargo sitting in a warehouse queue.
Our Delhi ground team was at the airport before the flight landed. The consignment was received, seals checked, paperwork cleared, and it was loaded into an armed vehicle that drove straight to Dehradun. No layovers, no re-handling, no unnecessary stops.
At the wholesaler's premises, our team matched the number of shipments back to the packing list, signatures were collected, and a signed proof of delivery was filed. The Dehradun wholesaler had the goods on time and could begin their further processing and sales ahead of schedule.
In parallel, the remaining nine wholesaler shipments moved on their own planned routes — air where needed, armed road where it made sense — each arriving at its destination city on the day and time expected, with the same documentation and supervised handover process.
Outcome
What looked like one bulk order was actually ten different logistics movements — each with its own destination, timeline, delivery priority, and planning requirement. One priority shipment needed to reach Dehradun urgently for onward processing, while other consignments moved to wholesalers across multiple cities under standard timelines. Instead of the manufacturer managing routes, flights, schedules, and coordination shipment by shipment, BVC planned and executed the entire movement flow end-to-end.
The result was simple: the priority Dehradun shipment was delivered on time, all 10 B2B deliveries reached their destinations successfully, and every wholesaler received their consignments with clean documentation and verified handovers. The manufacturer did not have to chase airlines, coordinate routes, or manage logistics exceptions across cities. They focused on production and new orders, while BVC managed the movement behind every shipment. After the success of this order, the manufacturer and wholesalers continued shipping through BVC — turning a one-time movement into a long-term logistics relationship.
